Privacy Policy
How RunwayRise handles information when you play the Android game, visit our website or choose to contact us.
Who provides RunwayRise?
This policy explains how RunwayRise, published under the developer name Rand Productions, handles information in its Android airline-management game and on the website runwayrise.co.uk.
For privacy enquiries or requests, email [email protected]. Rand Productions is the developer name used publicly for RunwayRise.
Game progress stays on your device
You can play the Android game without creating an account or providing your name, email address, contacts or precise location. The game stores your airline name, save slots, routes, aircraft, finances, achievements, preferences and other progress in local storage on your device.
In the offline game version reviewed when preparing this notice, this progress is not routinely uploaded to a RunwayRise-operated game server. If you choose to export, import or share a save file, the destination app or service you select may handle that file.
Android backups and restoration
Depending on your Android version, device settings and the eligibility of app data, Android may back up copies of game data to your Google Account or transfer it to another device. Google and your device manage those backups; they are not hosted on a RunwayRise game server.
Clearing or uninstalling the game may not erase an existing Android backup. You can review backup settings through your device and Google Account. For more information, see Googleās Android backup guidance.
Optional links from the game
The reviewed game includes its map data, Leaflet map library and display fonts locally. Normal startup of that reviewed game version does not require connecting to external map-tile or font services.
If you choose to open a bug-report form, licence attribution, source website or another external link, your browser or chosen application will connect to that service. That service may receive technical connection information such as your IP address, browser or device information and access time under its own privacy policy.
Visiting the RunwayRise website
You can browse runwayrise.co.uk without signing in. The website shows game information, fictional animated aircraft and screenshots. The displayed aircraft labels and performance figures are demonstration content, not data collected from players.
Our website is hosted through Cloudflare. Like other hosting and security providers, Cloudflare may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP addresses, request times, requested pages, browser information and security signals. The details and retention of any provider-side logs depend on the Cloudflare services and account configuration in use. See Cloudflareās privacy policy.
The current website files do not include a third-party advertising tag or a deliberately installed visitor analytics service. This does not rule out technical processing by Cloudflare as the site host.
Cookies and similar technologies
The current RunwayRise website does not deliberately set advertising or marketing cookies in its own page code. Cloudflare may use essential security features, including cookies or similar technologies, where those features are enabled for the domain.
If optional analytics, advertising tools or non-essential cookies are introduced later, we will review the necessary notices and consent controls before activating them.
Early Access and email updates
The Early Access email sign-up is not yet active. The present website contains an Early Access section, but its subscription service has not been connected and the page does not currently collect email addresses through a working mailing-list form.
Before enabling subscriptions, we will explain the information collected (normally an email address), the email provider used, the types of updates sent, the legal basis for marketing, how consent is recorded, how to unsubscribe, relevant retention arrangements and any international transfers. Visitors will be able to make a separate, informed choice about receiving marketing updates. We will update this policy when the service launches.
Contacting us for support does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.
Feedback, bug reports and contact
The Android game and website may offer an optional Report a Bug link to a Google Form. You decide whether to open it and what information to submit. Google may process the answers you provide and technical information associated with the form. Whether an email address is recorded, or whether a Google sign-in is required, depends on the form settings used when you submit it.
You can also email [email protected]. We use information you choose to send to investigate issues, respond to enquiries and maintain relevant support records. Please do not send passwords, payment-card information or sensitive personal details that are not needed for your enquiry.
See Googleās privacy policy for details of Googleās services.
Google Play purchases, advertising and analytics
If you buy RunwayRise through Google Play, Google processes the store purchase, payment and related transaction records under its own privacy terms. The game does not ask you to enter payment-card details directly.
No advertising or analytics SDK was identified in the reviewed game source and earlier Android package used to prepare the original game notice. That review is not a substitute for checking the final released Android package and matching the Google Play Data safety declarations to its actual behaviour.
Why information is processed
Local game data is used to operate the game and preserve progress on your device. The developer does not routinely receive that local progress in the reviewed version.
Where personal information is involved, we rely on an appropriate UK GDPR lawful basis depending on the activity. For example, legitimate interests may apply to responding to voluntary support enquiries and protecting or operating the website, balanced against your rights. Processing may also be necessary to meet legal obligations. When optional marketing emails are introduced, they will require an appropriate opt-in before being sent.
RunwayRise does not use the described information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Who else may handle information
Relevant third parties can include Cloudflare (website hosting and security), Google (Google Play, optional Google Forms and Android backup), your email provider when you contact us, and the apps or recipients you personally choose when exporting or sharing a save.
These services may process information under their own privacy terms or under arrangements applicable to their roles. We do not sell game saves, website visitor details or support enquiries to advertisers.
International data transfers
Service providers such as Cloudflare and Google may process information outside the United Kingdom. Transfers are subject to the providerās applicable arrangements and, where the law requires it, appropriate safeguards. You can ask us about the arrangements relevant to information sent directly to Rand Productions.
How long information is kept
On-device saves: Game data generally stays on your device until you overwrite or delete it, clear app storage or uninstall the app. Android backups may survive separately and are managed through Google/device settings.
Website technical records: Hosting/security records are processed according to the applicable Cloudflare services and retention settings. We do not specify a fixed period here because the final host-side settings have not been independently verified.
Support correspondence: We keep enquiries and reports only as long as reasonably necessary to investigate, respond, maintain an appropriate issue record or meet legal obligations, and review older records for deletion.
Email subscriptions: No active subscriber list is collected through the current website. Any future service will have its own retention and unsubscribe information in an updated policy.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information; restrict or object to processing; request data portability; and withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We cannot access a game save stored solely on your device or in a Google-managed backup. You can manage local game data and Google backups through their respective controls.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissionerās Office (ICO) if you are concerned about the way your information has been handled.
Younger players
RunwayRise does not require an account or ask for personal details during normal gameplay. If a child wishes to use a bug-report form or contact the developer, a parent or responsible adult should help them avoid including unnecessary personal information.
The final gameās Google Play target-audience declarations, and any requirements applicable to children using the game or website, will be reviewed against the released service.
Security and changes to this policy
We take reasonable steps to protect information within our control. Normal game progress uses local device storage, while Android backups, website hosting, email and optional external forms rely in part on their respective providersā safeguards. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We will update this notice if the game, website, service providers or data practices change, including when the Early Access email list becomes operational. The date at the top of this page indicates the most recent update. You can contact [email protected] with questions.
